STEM Ambassadors are a FREE resource for schools.They are volunteers with a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics background who are interested in supporting young people.
STEM Sussex, through the STEM Ambassador Hub for South East England led by Canterbury Christ Church University, coordinates the Sussex and Surrey region of the South East of England STEM Ambassador Hub.
All STEM Ambassadors have an induction session about working with young people, and are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked.
What can they help with?
- Setting up, expanding and supporting after-school clubs
- Careers talks or speed networking events for pupils
- Network or CPD evenings for teachers
- Mentoring students undertaking the Extended Project Qualification or CREST Awards
- STEM enrichment day ideas
