The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition recognises and rewards young people’s achievements in all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), whilst providing them with the opportunity to build their skills and confidence in project-based work.
The Competition is open to all UK residents in full-time education or training (year group 7-13).
Students from the South East of England can at present their idea at our region’s event, the Big Bang Fair South East on Wednesday 26th June.
Those who make it through to the final of our regional heat are then invited to The Big Bang Competition Finals taking place in March 2020. Finalists will compete for over £20,000 worth of amazing prizes, including top and runner-up prizes in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior categories for science and engineering, as well as the coveted titles of UK Young Engineer of the Year and GSK UK Young Scientist.
To enter the competition students will need to register for the South East Regional Heat on the Big Bang Competition website.
