The Big Bang Fair South East 2019 is open for bookings! Wednesday 26 June & Thursday 27 June
This, our famous annual event, is the largest regional STEM event in the national Big Bang Near Me programme, led by EngineeringUK and is the culmination of Crawley STEMfest. In June 2018 over 10,000 students and teachers attended the two day event. Held at the South of England Showground, near Haywards Heath, it provides a unique festival atmosphere with a mix of marquees, agricultural buildings and outdoor space for all the fantastic STEM activities to take place. This year 95% of students surveyed enjoyed themselves and 82% said they learnt a lot by taking part. Over 200 employers and organisations will be providing a wide variety of ‘hands on’ interactive STEM activities for 9 to 19 year olds. Designed to challenge student perceptions and inspire them to find out more about the world of STEM. Students will also have the opportunity to:
- Meet inspirational STEM role models from over 200 employers including: apprentices; graduates and STEM Ambassadors.
- Discuss the wide variety of STEM career options in a fun and inspirational environment.
- Enter projects into the prestigious national UK Big Bang Competition and present their work to judges.

Business and Community Liaison Manager's View
"It was wonderful to see our boys engaging with the stallholders and to see how much they could interact with the activities. Some truly 'magic moments' were had. They found inspiration for future careers and some excellent contacts were made."
