The Big Bang Fair South East
Part of a nationwide programme, the Big Bang celebrates and raises the profile of young people’s achievements in science and engineering. In 2018, The Big Bang Fair South East will be held on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th June at the South of England Showground near Ardingly, West Sussex. It is suitable for older primary students (key stage 2), as well as secondary students.
Nearly 9,000 9-19 year olds and their teachers from across the region attended The Big Bang Fair South East in 2017, and enjoyed a day of exciting and fun-filled shows, interactive displays and hands-on workshops, inspiring them to consider the varied opportunities and careers that studying STEM subjects can open up to them.

"Our children absolutely loved every second of their day. This is such a wonderful opportunity for children to see how science, maths and engineering can influence their adult lives and careers and see how their learning in school leads onto much greater things in the future."

"Our teachers and children have not stopped raving on about it…they said it was amazing. They didn’t get to see everything, so are already looking forward to next year!!"
