Meet the Team

Behind the Big Bang @ events, the regional STEMfests, the Nuffield Research Placements, the Ambassador activities and the Engineering Education Scheme there is a small, dedicated team. Each member brings a wealth of experience to their projects and we are all happy to help – just get in touch!

Bronagh Liddicoat

Bronagh Liddicoat qualified as a civil engineer in 1980 and she set up STEM Sussex in September 2001. Now, she divides her time between STEM Sussex and EngineeringUK as their South East Employer Support Manager. She supports STEM employers in the development of links with their future workforce.

Jo McKinney-Green

Jo joined STEM Sussex in 2012. She has Project Managed the STEMfest & Big Bang South East programme of events, and is now the Operations Manager for STEM Sussex.Past lives have included HR, process analysis, change management, employment and careers advice, and even a stint as a quality and standards administrator. She is always looking for interesting STEM activities, workshops and events to add to the programme.

Estelle Whewell

Estelle is a highly motivated team player, with over 15 years’ experience of event management and marketing. A natural communicator she enjoys connecting people and opportunities. She also enjoys delivering high levels of customer care and using her creativity to design effective and fun events. Rachel Day

Rachel Day was a Secondary School teacher of Mathematics before she came to work for STEM Sussex in 2016. Email her about the Nuffield Research Scheme, the Engineering Education Scheme, East Sussex STEAMfest and STEM in the Park.

Kelly Draper

Kelly joined STEM Sussex in May 2018 and was thrown into the excitement of the summer just before Big Bang Fair South East. Coming from an events background where she was also responsible for all things HR, finance and administration, Kelly supports the team with administration and logistics.
