The Society of Young Mathematicians

SYMS is the youth branch of the Mathematical Association. SYMS was launched in 1991 and was immediately popular with over 2000 young people joining in the first year!
Young people under 18 can join SYMS and every term will receive Symmetry Plus + and Mathematical Pie delivered direct to their homes.
Young Engineers

Young Engineers runs over 1583 Young Engineers’ Clubs nationwide for young people aged 7-19. At the present time they have over 13,000 members, with the gap between girls and boys getter smaller: approximately 40% girls, 60% boys. Young Engineers’ Clubs promote the importance of engineering in a practical way but also offer young people the opportunity to take part in design-and-make projects, compete in regional and national competitions, visit companies and work with professional engineers.
