Astronomy

Foredown Tower Countryside Centre ­ Wildlife Site

A guided tour of the adjacent Wildlife Site exploring woodland, grassland, scrub and the pond area.

Camera Obscura + Lecture

See a panoramic view of the local landscape through the lens of the camera obscura and find out how it works with a illustrated lecture.

Venue: Foredown Tower Countryside Centre
Key Stage: A-Level/FE Suitable for: National Curriculum Science and Geography
Duration: The demonstration and special presentation lasts about an hour.
Cost: All schools £1.70 per child or £2.10 per tertiary level student.

Use replica human bones and animal specimens to learn how a skeleton works and make simple comparisons.
