3d CADventure
This workshop introduces students to the world of 3d design using industrial computer modelling packages. Students can produce a solid model of a product on the screen and then modify it with a live screen design. Software and laptops are brought into the school.
The sessions are sponsored by South East Knowledge Exchange for Product Development based at the University of Brighton.
This school-based workshop will be of one day duration for 15 students with a dedicated computer or 30 sharing in pairs. Students work through a number of tutorials at their own pace prior to commencing a design brief. The training is carried out using Solid Works.
The students will have the opportunity to produce a full colour image of their design. Designs can also be prototyped at the University of Brighton and then sent to the school for a small cost.
