Chemistry and Medicine for Everyone - University of Brighton Open Day
Where: Cockcroft Building, University of Brighton
When: Monday 26th March 2018, 10:30 am
Key Stage: KS4 / KS5
Hosted by the University of Brighton’s Pharmacy and Biomolecular Science Department and supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Open to all Year 9 and 10 science students, we aim to inspire students to continue their STEM studies, but most importantly, we’ll be showing the human side of the University.
Taking place in our modern, relaxed teaching rooms, students will meet University teaching staff, students and members of industry who will reassure them there’s more to chemistry and biology than being a doctor. They’ll demonstrate the variety of jobs available to suit all sorts of people and the different ways of getting there. Students will also complete lab activities led by undergraduate students and an academic support tutor will show them why the university is such an inclusive and supportive place to study.
